Community Manager

As the Community Manager of EL, you will get to know many of the amazing individuals that identify with the EL values and want to engage deeper with other people, and themselves as well. Your job is to connect them with each other to create a sense of community, something that is vital to the core values of EL. To do that you need to be a true socialiser and enjoy getting to know all kinds of different people. You don’t shy away from social situations, instead you know how to ask the right questions and make other people feel welcome and at ease. The ability to identify the needs of others is important in this position. Like with everything in life, communication is key. The mindfulness and community events you’re organising provide an important space for vulnerable and meaningful conversations. In your role as Community Manager, public speaking and the sense for the right wording of delicate topics is something that you should enjoy. But no worries, you don’t have to do all of that on your own. You will be leading the Community Committee, which will require of you to delegate tasks and keep track of the progress of your team. Finding your own leadership style is important, as you will need to motivate and inspire others. It’s a position with a lot of responsibility, but extremely rewarding as it is a great privilege to serve the extraordinarily inspiring community of our association.

Serving the EL community is an incredibly rewarding experience. I’m grateful for every vulnerable thought shared by our members; for every story, and for all the inspiration I got from their commitment towards constantly working on themselves. Being part of EL means to be part of a truly extraordinary, supportive community.
