Privacy Statement

Extraordinary Life gathers personal data. This privacy statement is intended to inform you about the purposes for which personal data are processed, how you can exercise your privacy rights and other information that could be important for you. Extraordinary Life treats personal data with care and acts within the limits of the law, including the Dutch Data Protection Act (WBP) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Controller and responsibility

Extraordinary Life is the controller, within the meaning of the WBP and the GDPR. Extraordinary Life believes that it is of essential importance that the personal data of its active members, passive members and participants are treated and secured with the greatest possible care. We also want to be open about how we process your data. We therefore explain this below. First and foremost, we comply with the requirements of the WBP and the GDPR in all cases.

Whose personal data does Extraordinary Life gather?

Extraordinary Life gathers personal data from everyone who signs up as a passive member, from all active members, from participants in our events and from contractors who provide services for us.

Which personal data does Extraordinary Life gather, and why?

On the registration as a member, we record the following data. The new member provides these data and thus also gives consent for keeping and using them.

- First name

- Surname

- E-mail address

We need the combination of the surname and the date of birth to create a unique member. We also use informal forms of address at Extraordinary Life: we prefer to call people by their first names. We record the e-mail address so that we still have a way to contact our members. That may be used, for example, if you have booked a spot for one of our events in which there has been a change or for marketing purposes.

Granting and withdrawing consent

Extraordinary Life offers various activities that can only be provided by making use of personal data. Your data are only used if you explicitly grant consent for this. We will always explain what the data are used for, as we are doing via this privacy statement. This consent can always be withdrawn at a later date. Withdrawal of consent for the use of these data means that you will no longer be able to receive any membership benefits. Extraordinary Life gathers personal data from you in person, but where necessary, we also receive personal data via third parties, in as far as this complies with the law.

Extraordinary Life may share your personal data with third parties if you give permission for this yourself or if this is necessary to execute the agreement.
